VISA

Indian visas are required for foreigners visiting India and are available at Indian Consular Offices around the world on payment of a visa fee. We recommend obtaining multiple entry visa if visiting neighbouring countries of Nepal and Sri Lanka.

HEALTH REGULATIONS

Barring a yellow fever vaccination for tourists coming from infected areas (African and South American countries), there are no vaccination requirements for tourists to India.

CUSTOMS FORMALITIES

There are two channels for customs clearance. Red and Green channels exist at major Indian airports. Tourists are generally required to make Pre-baggage declaration.

CURRENCY REGULATIONS

There are no restrictions on the import of foreign currency in Travellers Cheques. However, visitors in possession of more than US $10,000 or equivalent thereof in currency notes are required to obtain a Currency Declaration Form before leaving customs. This will help them on departure to take out of India the amount so declared. All money should be changed at banks or at official Money Changers. Tourists must obtain money exchange receipts for each transaction as these are required to re-exchange of any Indian money while leaving India.

FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX

Government of India levies Airport Tax of INR 500/ departure. For departure to neighbouring countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Airport Tax is INR 150. If a tourist is visiting neighbouring countries, and does not return to India for final departure the airport tax levied at the time of departure to neighbouring countries would be INR 500.

Professional & Govt. approved guides are provided while arranging transfers / sightseeing / excursions by car & coaches. All tour costs are inclusive of applicable taxes on hotel tariff, transportation with entrance fee to monument, charges for guides, portage at hotels & airport.
