North East Tour

Itinerary as Follows:-

Start the day at 4am with an early morning trip to Tiger Hill (7800 Ft) to catch the sunrise from behind the majestic Kunchenjunga range. On the way back visit the Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop. Back to the hotel for breakfast.
After lunch, transfer to Darjeeling rly stn for a trip upto ghoom on the toy train. Back to the hotel by evening.Overnight stay.

Day 04: Darjeeling - Pemayangtse (90 kms - 3 hours)

Morning proceed for Pemayangtse - The mighty Kanchenjunga overlooks the land of Sikkim and Pemayangtse in Sikkim nestles close to Kanchenjunga . Pemayangtse is not a settlement. This is where 6000 ft above sea level one of the most famous Buddhist monasteries is located. The Pemayangtse monastery is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim and is the headquarters of the Nyingma sect. Sight seeing of Pemayangtse. Covering, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Gangtok - Half day Excursion to Tsangu Lake

Excursions to Tsangu Lake at 12,400ft enroute visit Baba Mandir. Over night stay at Hotel. Visit the Enchey Monastery, the Do Drul Chorten, the Research Institute of Tibetology, Purba Chorten, Government Institute of Cottage Industries (GICI) and a walk down Lal Bazaar. In the afternoon, we drive to Rumtek Monastery, 24 kms from Gangtok. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 08: Gangtok - Kalimpong

A lovely drive during which the emerald coloured river Teesta serenades you on its tumultuous journey to the plains. River rafting option (at extra cost) is also possible. Half day sight seeing of Kalimpong including cactus nursery and the famous Zang Dog Palri monastery. Many may just want to relax or go shopping to the market .Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 09: Kalimpong - New Jalpaiguri/BAgdogra departure,

Transfer to NJP to board train for departure transfer to back home.
